New!: Clash of the Hardware: Nvidia Geforce 8800 GT VS Ati HD3850

New !

Today we are reviewing 2 rivals from eachother and we let them compete in : “Clash of the hardware”.In this edition from clash of the Hardware we have the

world-famous Nvidia Geforce 8800GT
8800GT

versus Ati’s Framekiller HD3850

Both chips are having a pretty nice Clock-speed.
The 8800GT has an speed from 600Mhz
and The (sapphire radeon)HD3850 Has an speed from 668Mhz

Probably these are the most standard versions you could find, there are ofcourse overclocked versions, but this time we pick the standard versions from both cards.

Both card have Shader model 4.0.
Fully DX10 Support (altough the radeon has DX10.1 wich doesn’t really matter in my opinion)
They can both get the same resolution size (Depents on your Monitor)

1024×768x32Bit 200 Hz
1280×1024x32Bit 170 Hz
1600×1200x32Bit 120 Hz
2048×1536x32Bit 85 Hz
2560×1600x32Bit 60 Hz (Dual Link)

8800gt has a    :   256 bit interface and a memory of 512 MB GDDR3 @ 1800 Mhz
HD3850 Has a :   256 bit interface and a memory of 512 MB GDDR3 @ 1656 Mhz
Both cards Have 2×DVI-I and 1×S-Video

Power use :
8800: 102 watt
HD3850: 110 watt

For the conclusion :

The 8800 GT is more expensive but you get a whole lotta FPS more at the next-gen game : “Crysis” then you will get at the HD3850
